Why this works
- Part of University of Latvia since September 2025, giving graduates a state-university diploma with EU recognition.
- English-taught bachelor's and master's programmes in business, finance, and cybersecurity — no Latvian required.
- Estimated tuition around €3,800/year is among the lowest for English-track business degrees in the EU.
- IELTS 6.5 is a moderate requirement, accessible to most CIS students with solid upper-intermediate English.
- Latvia is an EU/Schengen country — graduates hold an EU-recognised degree and can work freely across the bloc.
- Students may work up to 20 h/week during term without a separate work permit — it's included in the residence permit.
What to check
- Per-programme tuition is not published online — €3,800 is an unverified aggregator estimate; master's could reach €5,000–8,000/year.
- Non-EU applicants must apply by 31 May for the September intake — missing this deadline means waiting a full year.
- Brand recognition outside the Baltics is limited; employers in RU/KZ may be unfamiliar with BA School even after the UL merger.
- Riga's private rental market runs €400–700/month all-in; combined with €30–60/month health insurance, living costs add up fast.
- Daily life in Riga requires at least basic Latvian or Russian; English coverage outside the university is uneven.
