Why this works
- All programmes are taught fully in English, removing any Latvian language barrier for CIS students.
- Low IELTS threshold of 5.5 — students without a certificate can pass an in-house English test instead.
- Non-EU tuition is €5,000/year, competitive for a hospitality college with dual Latvian and UK BTEC accreditation.
- Erasmus+ internship scholarships of up to €1,000/month are available to all enrolled students.
- Latvia is an EU/Schengen member, so graduates hold a European qualification and gain EU mobility rights.
- Two intakes per year (September and February) give flexible entry windows and shorter wait times.
What to check
- BTEC Level 5 is a short-cycle qualification (EQF 5), not a full bachelor degree — recognition varies by destination country.
- A one-time UK BTEC registration fee of €500 is charged on top of annual tuition and should be budgeted separately.
- As a small private college specialising in one sector, brand recognition outside the hospitality industry is limited.
- Riga is a mid-size Baltic capital — job market and internship options in hospitality are narrower than in Western European cities.
- Visa and post-study work-right details for non-EU citizens are not yet publicly confirmed — students must verify with the school directly.
