Erasmus+
European Union
Overview
Erasmus+ is the European Union's mobility programme.
Rather than funding a full degree, it supports study or exchange periods and cost-of-living mobility, and remains a mainstay funding route across EU destinations — especially where a national grant isn't available for your country.
Who can apply
- Available to students enrolled at participating European institutions, including exchange and mobility within a degree.
- Terms depend on the agreement between your home and host universities and the country pairing.
- It's often the practical funding fallback where national schemes don't list your citizenship (e.g. Kyrgyzstan for the Lithuanian state call).
How to apply
- 1
Apply through your university's international office, which manages Erasmus+ agreements, selection and deadlines.
- 2
Grant amounts are set per host country.
- 3
Check erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu and your institution for the current cycle.
