Whether you can trust our advice comes down to two things: the principles we hold ourselves to, and how we make money. Here are both, in full.
Our ethics charter
StudyRoute helps you choose a realistic route to study abroad. These are the rules we hold ourselves to — and that you can hold us to.
No false promises
Admission rules, application processing times, tuition fees and requirements are the same for every applicant. We don't promise guaranteed admission, discounts or a positive visa decision when the university or government authorities themselves can't guarantee it. Our job is to help you choose the most suitable route, avoid common mistakes and prepare for admission as thoroughly as possible.
We don't hold your money
We never receive or hold your tuition, deposits or blocked-account (Sperrkonto) funds, and we never pay fees on your behalf. Any payment to StudyRoute is only for our own analysis or consultation services — never money you owe a university or a government.
The decision is always yours
We don't make the decision for you — we help you make it consciously. We show you the best route, offer alternatives and tell you honestly about the upsides, downsides and possible risks. And the final choice always stays with you.
How we earn
Transparency matters when you're trusting advice. Here is exactly how StudyRoute makes money — and why it never biases what we recommend.
We take no commission from universities
StudyRoute does not receive any commission for enrolling students. No university pays us to send applicants their way, so we have nothing to gain by steering you — we recommend the route that genuinely fits you, and our quiz includes universities we have no agreement with at all.
Paid analysis & consultation packages
You can optionally buy a deeper analysis or a consultation — a detailed route review, decision-style profiling, or a one-to-one session. This is how we fund the service: you pay for our time and expertise, not for a better admission chance.
What stays free
The route quiz and your basic route match are free, and they don't depend on whether a university has an agreement with us. You can use StudyRoute, get a realistic plan, and apply directly — without paying us anything.
