Holland Scholarship
Dutch Ministry of Education & participating universities
Overview
The Holland Scholarship is a €5,000 one-time grant for non-EEA students starting a bachelor's or master's at a participating Dutch university.
It's funded jointly by the Dutch Ministry of Education and the universities themselves, and paid in the first year of study.
Who can apply
- Open to non-EEA nationals enrolling in a full degree at a participating Dutch research university or university of applied sciences.
- Terms are set per university — not every Dutch institution takes part, so confirm on your chosen university's page whether your citizenship is in scope.
How to apply
- 1
Apply directly to a participating university — there is no central application.
- 2
Check the university's Holland Scholarship page for its deadline (usually February–May) and requirements.
- 3
Selection is made by the university, typically alongside your admission.
