What to check

• Germany requires proof of funds via a blocked account (Sperrkonto) of around €11,904 for a study visa — a significant upfront financial commitment.
• Potsdam itself is a smaller city; while Berlin is nearby, on-campus student job opportunities and local internship offers are more limited than in major hubs.
